As the Senior Product Manager focusing on Emerging Technology – you will be part of a team of highly engaged professionals engaged in a variety of fast paced and exciting challenges. Here are the competencies we are looking for:
  • Proven market results via strong product management, service development and marketing background
  • Experience in business and enterprise architecture and design
  • Demonstrable entrepreneurial mindset in the creation of solutions and translation to market products and services (business outcome/market sensitive)
  • Strong analytical abilities, financial acumen and strategic thinking
  • Strong pragmatic approach to problem solving driving solutions based on scenarios and time horizon
  • Strong background on innovation: value creation, profit model tactics and disruption drivers
  • Experience in incubation, acceleration and business scaling
  • Strong experience in integrating data driven position for business evolution to drive the right lever for growth and scaling
  • Strong understanding and application experience in some emerging technologies such as, but not exclusive to:
    • Digital Platforms
    • Multi-cloud/Hyperscalers
    • Others: 5G, Secure Access Service Edge, Mobile Edge Computing, SD-WAN, cybersecurity and NFV and IoT
  • Knowledge in vertical solution development and monetization
  • Big picture thinker and great collaborator who can drive team based results (based on cross portfolio product functions)
  • Ability to understand corporate business strategies and company’s goals, and apply this understanding to make systems/technology development decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Well-developed writing skills to articulate ideas that involve interpretation, analysis and assessment
  • Present ideas at senior leadership level; develop and secure alignment through authority, personal credibility, and approachability

Here’s how
  • Support solution development for emerging technologies
  • Support the innovation stream and incubation tactics to prove monetization and scaling of solutions
  • Manage Planning and Delivery of Projects/Initiatives Emerging Technology
  • Develop Strategic, Operational, Financial and Value Chain Enablement Plans for Emerging Technology programs
  • Develop competitive differentiation and benchmarking against TELUS’ competitors, as well as revenue retention strategies
  • Develop Forecasting revenues and units by product and customer segments
  • Develop/Support Execution of Product/Technology/Services and Operational Roadmap
  • Develop/Support Execution of New Product Service Introduction Objectives
  • Develop internal processes to drive and improve Customer Experience within the Emerging Technology domains
  • Provide product expertise to as well as lead national, cross-functional Value Chain Team
  • Develop and Implement industry-leading product & pricing strategies to maximize profit growth and retention
  • Manage KPI targets
  • Optimize product profitability by establishing competitive price structures that capture value in the market, and meeting product and process rationalization and optimization targets
  • Manage the performance of Service Delivery for the Portfolio
  • Package solutions for segments, enable entry position for new/untapped markets
  • Support proactive benefits management
  • Be part of a team of product management and senior consultants to drive innovation for the market

Qualifications

 

Your ideal profile includes
  • At least 7+ years of technology and services consulting, solution and service development background
  • At least 5+ years of strong frameworks knowledge and execution on pragmatic marketing, product management methodologies and processes
  • At least 5+ years, of financial analysis and business case development experience, strategy development methodologies
  • At least 5+ years, of strong background in IT architecture, delivery and operations
  • At least 5+ years, Solid ITIL, TMF, TOGAF and PMP and or Agile Product and Project Management background
  • Strong knowledge of wireless/fixed broadband, Telecom and non-Telecom IT applications, systems, platforms and services
  • Performance management and leadership methodologies
  • Business, Engineering, IT or related technical degree with MBA preferred, or MBA with strong technical background and demonstrated experience/competence working with IP, wireless and related technologies, or 7+ years business background in a technology industry with relevant experience in a product management or development role
