The EMEA Finance and Corporate Strategy (FCS) team reports into the global FCS function underneath the global Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The EMEA team is led by Alan Trotter, who is the EMEA CFO.
The tax team are responsible for performing corporate income tax, VAT and transfer pricing functions for various entities and tax computations to feed into high level reporting, and providing tax advisory as needed on FCS projects.
Your Role
As a Senior Tax Accountant on our Finance – Tax team, you will play an important role in assisting the European Corporate Tax Managers and Head of Tax, Europe & Asia Pacific in the management of the EMEA corporate tax compliance activities and Group tax reporting.
You will be responsible for:
- EMEA tax compliance, including management of outsourced providers and Hyderabad tax team resource.
- Review/preparation of EMEA statutory disclosure notes under IFRS/local GAAP.
- Review tax computations prepared by Hyderabad tax team, and prepare more complex aspects of UK compliance.
- Review US GAAP quarterly and year end reporting for UK/EMEA entities and assist with the review/preparation of forecasts for UK, EMEA and Asia Pacific Group companies
- Prepare/review annual CFC review .
- Assist with transfer pricing compliance activities, the intercompany agreement process, and with the preparation and calculation of intercompany recharge allocation models.
- Maintain Invesco’s DAC 6 database and manage review of potentially reportable cross-border arrangements.
- Assist the Head of Tax, EMEA & Asia Pacific or Tax Managers with ad hoc research and projects.
The skills and experience you’ll bring
You will:
- Have strong experience in corporate tax, and ideally in transfer pricing
- Have proven understanding of the UK tax legislation including CFC legislation
- Have experience of automated tax provisioning systems (e.g. Longview, HTP etc)
- Experience of UK tax return preparation software such as OneSource, Alphatax preferable
- Understanding of transfer pricing fundamentals and knowledge of the OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines.
- Financial Services background would be ideal
- Educated to degree level, or equivalent qualification (or jobholder is able to demonstrate equivalent academic calibre) with professional accountancy qualification or equivalent tax qualification
