Overview:
The Architecture and Technology team is looking for an Associate professional / software developer to assist in development of one of our platform services used by various applications within Mastercard. This team leads with mission to provide overall stewardship of enterprise grade application architecture & design within the context of holistic software development. This includes driving the architecture & design decisions and building consensus around it. The team leads the exploration in software architecture & technology innovations along with enabling excellence in overall team.
Role:
• Assist senior team members in the development components, system to system interfaces and complete software solutions
• Perform significant code development and day-to-day support duties
• Responsible for the analysis, design, development and delivery of software solutions
• Define requirements for new applications and customizations, adhering to standards, processes and best practices
• Assist in troubleshooting, defect fixes and user guides for software solutions being developed
All About You:
Software Development Engineer – I at MasterCard is a high performing entry level engineer within the organization with skills required,
• Good understanding of Computer science fundamentals such as Data Structures & Algorithms, other fundamental programming concepts such as Object Oriented Programming.
• Good knowledge about Unix Fundamentals – ability to understand and write scripts
• Basic ability to write programs in Java – understanding Java fundamentals, ability to write programs.
• Passion for software engineering and willingness to learn new software frameworks
• Knows basics on web application development such as HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, servlet containers.
• Knowledge of REST and microservices is a bonus.
Bachelor of Engineering or Technology in Computer Science, Engineering or IT required
