Basic Job Functions:

The role of the Software Engineer includes but is not limited to installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving software systems. The selected individual will be part of the maintenance team working with all teammates to improve safety, quality, costs, reliability, and productivity throughout the facility.  Ability to work, scheduled and unscheduled overtime including nights, holidays and weekends

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical training and experience.
  2. Experience with software development, relational databases, and communication protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of languages and/or technologies including C#, C++, .NET, SQL, JSON, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, OPC, UDP, TCP/IP
  2. Web development (.NET MVC, .NET Core, Blazor) and database experience
