Position Overview:

As ADI expands into new product and market segments, the Power Products Group (Automotive Power Grup) is looking for a highly skilled Sr. Applications Engineer who will be responsible for supporting customers and Field Applications Engineers with product questions, design/build and testing of custom demonstration circuits to meet customer specifications, early silicon evaluation, demo board design and development, failure analysis support, writing application notes and design articles and providing inputs for new product ideas.  The optimal candidate would be proficient and enjoy working in the lab, have excellent technical writing and presentation skills, a good command of the English language and good listening skills to understand customer problems and articulate solutions.
As a Sr. Applications Engineer, you will:

  • Provide applications support and circuit development to complete the design
  • Build and test of custom demonstration circuits for Analog’s power products with topologies ranging from resonant converters in wireless power to buck, boost, buck-boost, SEPIC, or flyback topologies

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Familiar with many new products containing digital communication
  • Software programming in Python, C, C++, or  C#
  • Automotive power product development, a plus.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in board-level power supply design.
  • Magnetic component design and analysis
  • Component level analog circuit design, analysis, and debug
  • PC board layout design techniques
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • SIMPLIS modelling of power supplies or similar application.
  • Software Programming is a requirement
