Department Summary

This position is within Energy Delivery / Gas Asset Management / Engineering Asset Planning and will report to the Delivery Planning Lead. The individualts are responsible for proactive review of delivery enhancements across the assets and optimizing the solutions. They will link between strategy and engineering to make sure the engineering solutions meet the needs of the overall gas system. Each enginener will be responsible for a different asset class, which include Metering and Regulation, Distribution, and Storage/Compression/Transmission. They will be responsible for coordination of muiltple projects in current and future years to ensure project schedules and system requirements are aligned. These Engineers will also have responsibility of helping to build the future financial plans to ensure long term buisinee plan deployment inputs align with future project and system outage schedules.

 

Job Description/Responsibilities

  • Evaluate identified jobs across asset classes, maximize and coordinate work with major projects. Projects would include all asset classes within the natural gas system.
  • Review results of outage analysis and complex operating procedures
  • Financial projects review, budgeting entry/review, business rate case testimony & witness support
  • Support of Natural gas Delivery Plan outlook and evaluation (1-10 years out). High level Engineering resources alignment with investment plan
  • Evaluate and own standards/processes/job aids for Delivery Planning strategies

 

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering from an ABET Accredited Program
  • In lieu of an Engineering Degree, an Associate’s degree in a scientific/technical field with 5 – 7 years of applicable experience OR extensive years of applicable experience (10+ years) that demonstrate required abilities and performance may be acceptable
  • Be familiar with Natural Gas system (storage, compression, transmission, regulation, distribution) and their integration
  • Communication skills
  • Waste Elimination Principles
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Negotiation skills

  • Ensure Project Engineering, Engineering Planning, Finance, and Strategy departments/stakeholders are aligned and in agreement with current and future year asset plans 1-10 years in advance
