What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or other applicable field or equivalent combination education and other experience
- Strong analytical, technical, and marketing skills generally shown through a minimum of seven-ten years of experience providing client and technical support to an assigned product/service.
- Direct experience in a credit, financial, or information services industry is highly preferred to be successful at this level. Prior Management experience would be an asset to this role.
- Experience with the banking, retail credit or consumer credit reporting industries is required.
- Knowledge of the operation and capabilities of large database computer systems, particularly specific to the credit bureau system would be a strong advantage.
- Capable to fully utilizing personal computers and the associated software applications used by the business unit such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior experience giving presentations for groups of people.
- Ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously with each having different deadlines.
- Ability to both coordinate and lead projects, and in other situations to be a self-sufficient individual contributor.
Impact You’ll Make
The Senior Fraud Product Manager will join a team of industry experts to help expand the penetration of TransUnion’s Identity Management & Fraud Solutions in the Canadian marketplace. The successful candidate will drive thought leadership and innovation by providing industry expertise, product knowledge and process mapping capabilities to deliver identity management solutions, drive business insights and resolve business issues for Transunion’s customers.
This individual has a proven track record as a subject matter expert in fraud, identity management & Anti-Money Laundering and who draws on in-depth knowledge of fraud trends, industry and regulatory requirements, and business process flow to deliver business insights and contribute to sales growth.
- Delivers product management discipline for existing and new products to ensure suitability in the applicable target market.
- Actively supports Sales teams & revenue growth by providing expertise and consultative services to uncover new opportunities, create compelling value propositions and participate in account planning.
- Adapts and/or develops product strategy & roadmaps, and conveys requirements to the Product Management teams.
- Assembles customized solutions to meet customers’ specific needs.
- Works directly with customers to understand and communicate their needs and deliver solutions to address those needs by defining and tracking product-level SLAs, SLOs.
Responsibilities
This position is accountable for managing product sales plans for all key customers and special accounts; increased sales and market penetration into markets held by the competition; and for increasing depth and breadth within existing accounts. Product development responsibilities include product strategy, roadmap, requirements – features and functionality, release planning, partner programs and product launches. Product managers are expected to track product line financials, and to create the overall business and go-to-market planning that is interlocked with the Field (Sales, Product Support and Alliances), Marketing and Corporate Services. Finally, the Product Manager leads the new product development process from ideation through to delivery.
- Helps drive the achievement of targeted revenue growth and expense goals for the Fraud Suite of products.
- Leverages a deep understanding of the products’ value propositions, the market, competitive trends and effective product pricing and sales strategies to drive the definition and execution of an effective business plan.
- Understands the market needs and the capabilities of the team to extend the product lines into adjacent areas.
- Analyzes progress toward meeting established business plan goals and provides forecasting reports and trend-level insights to executive management. Recommends course changes as needed to ensure targeted goals are achieved.
- Directs activities of assigned matrixed resources to ensure that total solutions are achieved.
- Works closely with the Product Development team – including project management, project analysts and systems developers – by developing requirements, use cases and reviewing features and functionality.
- Works within established corporate practices to lead key decisions regarding proposal generation, deal shaping, deal staffing and negotiation efforts.
- Consults with customers and assists with implementation as required.
- Responsible for building industry relationships with key associations including but not limited to CBA, Interac, VISA, IAFCI, and MasterCard.
- Introduce further products and services to the Canadian Marketplace. Assess market requirements. Consider viability of various US product offerings for the Canadian market.
- Source strategic partnerships, and continue to develop existing relationships for new product development opportunities.
- Serves as subject matter expert when assisting clients and internal teams by identifying, defining, and recommending modifications, enhancements, and/or new strategies necessary for continuing the success of products/services. Meets with clients to ensure modifications meet the end results of their needs.
- Completes & updates all necessary product documentation, presentation material and product information required to support internal stakeholders
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
