Evaluate experimentation and delivery of emerging digital technologies and define the digital strategy for the corporation. Drive and support a range of strategic initiatives around information technology, digital and data, and partner with stakeholders to deliver digital innovations and digital solutions to drive efficiency and effectiveness to key processes. Ensure that IT projects adhere to project goals, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding and staffing. Ensure that all related IT functions and services are effectively delivered to end users locations in the field office and drilling and completions sites. Apply an understanding of ongoing developments in the oil and gas industry and digital ecosystem to recommend technology improvements tailored to Marathon Oil. Define and decompose problem statements into key hypothesis, assertions, and work streams. Assemble participants and facilitate cross-functional teams in IT strategy development. Develop work breakdown structure for various IT projects. Communicate IT recommendations to leaders and internal stakeholders, influencing management and peers to drive organization change and alignment. Ensure recommendations are implemented by providing thought leadership and overseeing proper execution. Mentor less experiences members of the IT team.
