The Storage Administrator I will support and manage daily activities of Storage Administration including: Problem Resolution, Daily Provisioning, Expansion, Zoning, & Lun Masking. Participate within our disaster recovery annual drill. Perform on-call support on a rotating basis with other storage administrators. Resolve problem tickets as assigned. Adhere and follow documented change control procedures.
Responsibilities include implementing, and supporting storage and backup technologies to meet business requirements. Works closely with other technology departments, business clients and vendors.
Computer skills, proven technical ability, analytical thinking, organization, self-motivation, enthusiasm, flexibility, good communication skills and a customer service focused attitude are highly recommended.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree; Systems or Computer related. Equivalent experience above the required education may serve as a substitute.
- 3 years of general IT infrastructure experience.
- Strong understanding of storage and backup concepts.
- Strong understanding of core network fundamentals.
- Prior hands on IT experience involving IT infrastructure.
- Must be a quick learner and self motivated.
- Ability to learn and retain a variety of system related concepts, information and procedures.
- Highly organized to handle several tasks concurrently and prioritize work appropriately.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex storage problems both in hardware and software.
- Ability to perform project planning and meet project due dates.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- This position will support a federal government contract. Applicants must be able to obtain Public Trust security clearance as required of federal government contractors to include a background check conducted by the U.S. Government to determine eligibility and suitability for federal contract employment for public trust or sensitive positions. For this level of clearance, applicants must possess U.S citizenship
