The base
We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. We’re close to our clients, in the heart of the UK’s financial centre. We offer flexible working appropriate for a client solutions focussed role.
Team Overview
The role of Portfolio Solutions is to improve Schroders ‘client centricity’ by enabling Distribution to engage with clients as a partner and in so doing extend both client longevity and the breadth of client relationships. It also offers outcome focused investment capability that improves Schroders ability to deliver into clients’ needs.
In this respect Portfolio Solutions sits ‘in the middle’ of the firm, as a resource for Distribution to help engage with clients and as a partner with the asset classes, including Multi-Asset, to help their capabilities better map into clients’ desired outcomes.
Background to strategic capabilities
Schroders has recently embarked on a major strategic initiative to change the way that we communicate and work with our clients. There is a lot of complexity to our business and we realised that we needed to simplify our offering and deliver a clear proposition to our clients. This initiative, which is now a core focus for the firm, is called strategic capabilities.
In launching strategic capabilities, we recognised that no two clients are the same. From working globally with the largest financial institutions to helping families save regularly for a more prosperous future, we have products and solutions to meet their requirements.
Our business has been restructured around 10 strategic capabilities. These strategic capabilities are: Absolute Return, Alpha Equity, Credit, Emerging Markets, Income, Multi-Asset Solutions, Private Assets, Portfolio Solutions, and Sustainability. Each strategic capability is owned and managed by a dedicated Strategic Capability Manager, who is responsible for its development from a product, proposition and business perspective.
