ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Strategic Content Manager is an exciting and crucial role in the enterprise Brand team, where you will drive our social content strategy across marketing. The strategy will focus on engaging, acquiring and retaining customers through new and first mover strategy and creation. In driving Origin’s social content management strategy, you will enhance and align to our business and marketing strategy – leading with our new brand direction and working closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver the best range of relevant and thought-provoking content to the market.

Day-to-day you will enhance and execute our content strategy together with a direct report as well as a virtual team across Origin. The content strategy will stretch across, paid, earned and owned channels of digital media – execution will be predominantly across owned channels with support to execute from agencies and virtual teams across Origin.

More about the role:

  • Ensure all metrics are delivered on as well as cadence of reporting to relevant stakeholders
  • Lead the creation, conception, and presentation of social media content and integrated marketing campaigns whilst working closely with the broader marketing team and agencies to devise and implement Origin Content Strategy
  • Support Community specialist in their creation and delivery
  • Curate content across Origin to align with content strategy objectives the digital team on the management of website content as a source for social media content as required
  • Engage and influence stakeholders from across the business to help drive understanding, support and alignment of digital branding and the development of social media content

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you will have the ability to apply critical thinking and emotional intelligence to challenge and communicate ideas and concerns. Having Clear and concise writing of often complicated and technical information for the digital audience, you will have demonstrated success in content marketing techniques. You must have the ability to work non-traditional business hours, ie. 7am or 9pm, Saturdays and some public holidays if required.

More about you:

  • Minimum 10 years working in corporate environment or with responsibility for managing corporate social or other media platforms
  • Proven ability to develop social media strategies and engage audiences in a complex, regulated, issues rich environment
  • In-depth knowledge and working understanding of social media platforms and their audiences and how they can be deployed in different scenarios
  • Understanding of SEO, SEM and Social optimisation principles
  • Proactive self-starter with the ability to influence through persuasion, insight and a collaborative working style
  • Resilient, able to handle ambiguity, easily adapts to change – someone comfortable working in an innovative start-up environment
