Cadence Design Full Time United States Intern

Cadence Design Systems is looking for a highly motivated summer intern to work with the Modus Test R&D engineering team in the Front-End Design business unit. You will be part of a team responsible for designing, developing, debugging and supporting Design-for-Test software.  Development responsibilities will include software development in the area of VLSI Design Automation using UNIX-based software infrastructure.  Responsibilities include devising prototype scripts/flows for customer requirements and also validate existing flows and tool behavior. Will work on problems that require innovative thinking and collaboration with R&D to propose out-of-box solutions with emphasis on usability and scalability.

The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:

  • In progress with MS/Phd in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Proficient in C/C++
  • Proficiency in digital logic design
  • Desire to work on advanced tools and technologies
  • Base knowledge of DFT is preferred
  • Good scripting skills (Tcl, Perl) is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good communication skills are a must as the teams are distributed
