CH Robinson is looking for a Support Staff member. In this role, you will be reviewing customs documents, identifying discrepancies, support the team in customs audits, and completing data entry. Responsibilities:
Maintain Operational Excellence
- Receive and review customs documentation to identify any discrepancies
- Process Detailed Adjustment Statement in the system
- Ensure Detailed Adjustment Statement payment are submitted to customs by the due date
- Receive and prepare files for all the post-entry projects
- Demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks daily responsibilities
- Issuing invoices for all post-entry projects
- Data Entry – Format forms / spreadsheets and complete accurate data entry
- Reporting – Run and provide reports as requested
- Filing / Copying – Correctly file and organize documents; utilize office technology and resources
- Sorting and Organizing – Keep a neat workspace and manage files
- Scanning – Prioritize requests and provide prompt, accurate information
- Misc. Tasks – Complete other duties and projects as assigned
Facilitate Relationships:
- Demonstrate proactive, professional, clarity, and reliability to our peers and our customers through verbal and written language
- Ensure prompt response to customer inquiries and follow through on issues until resolution to customer satisfaction
- Promote a positive working relationship for all team members
- Collaborate with post-entry staff and adhere to a high level of operational excellence with respect to on time performance, accuracy, and customer service
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be bilingual in English and French
- Excellent systems knowledge: Microsoft Office Suite Programs, Excel literate
Preferred Qualifications:
- Customs experience
- Values a diverse and inclusive work environment
- Two years of administrative experience in the international freight industry preferred, however applicants with entry-level experience and relevant schooling may also be considered
- Effective communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize, multitask and manage time effectively

- Produce Reports – Produce and provide reports on demand
- Classify / Copy – Classify and organize documents correctly; use office technology and resources
- Sort and organize – Keep your workspace clean and manage files
- Analyze – Prioritize requests and provide accurate information quickly
- Perform various tasks – Perform other assigned tasks and projects
Facilitate Relationships:
- Demonstrate proactivity, professionalism, clarity and reliability towards our peers and clients in written and verbal communications
- Ensure you respond promptly to customer inquiries and follow up on issues until they are resolved to customer satisfaction
- Promote positive working relationships for all team members
- Collaborate with post-entry staff and demonstrate a high level of operational excellence in relation to punctuality, accuracy and customer service
Mandatory skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent general education
- Must be bilingual (French and English)
- Very good knowledge of the programs of the Microsoft Office range and mastery of Excel
Preferred skills:
- Customs experience
- Two years of administrative experience in the international freight industry is preferred, but applicants with sufficient experience and relevant education may also be considered
- Effective communication skills
- Great thoroughness and precision
- Ability to prioritize, multitask and manage time effectively
