An Applications Engineer position has arisen within the Digital Platforms team in Limerick to work on an exciting greenfield project to support our Broad Market Customers. The initiative will facilitate virtual prototyping (VP) to address the needs of customers and assist the customer in designing an appropriate solution.
This requires an energetic and motivated individual with combination of strong hardware circuit design and software knowledge, excellent communication, and a willingness to work in a dynamic environment with teams across multiple sites to achieve ground-breaking business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture customer technical applications and requirements to drive platform tools.
- Create system level solutions for various customers problems in various domain spaces such as automotive, communications, aerospace, industrial, healthcare and power management.
- Constantly align technical requirements with customer needs to ensure strong user adoption
- Work with the software development team to specify the requirements for the measurement application solutions.
- Work with internal teams to drive digital transformation across the ADI portfolio of software offerings
- Work closely with UX/UI and visualization teams to deliver customer focused experiences
- Conduct competitive technical assessments to insure sufficiently differentiated experiences
- Ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
- Travel to other ADI global locations will be required from time to time
Preferred Knowledge / Experience
- Bachelors or equivalent in Electronic Engineering or similar discipline with 5-10 years of relevant experience
- System level knowledge and interest in analogue and digital electronics plus software and simulation.
- Knowledge / fundamental understanding of signal processing and electronic system design
- A strong interest in technology, especially active and passive circuits (discrete and integrated).
- Experience with embedded systems, hardware and software design and applications
- Experience with lab equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.
- Strong customer focus and Customer experience track record
Advantageous Experience
- Experience using system design software like MATLAB, Simulink, Cadence Xcelium, or Octave.
- Circuit simulation tools like P-Spice, LTspice, or in-house equivalents.
- Familiarity with low level resource programming using Verilog, C, System C, Python or Labview.
- Interest in CAD simulation tools.
