Your Opportunity

This role focuses primarily on the help and guidance offering for DSPU/ESS SAvE Team. This includes defining, advocating for, and executing the details of an overarching strategy for the help and guidance offerings for team members within SAvE Team. The role would also develop the analysis, business requirements, offering enhancements, and experience refinements in roadmaps.

What you are good at

  • Lead a team of Reliability Engineers to manage Data Engineering and Automation development for high performance and low latency distributed systems.
  • Foster SRE mindset and engineer reliability through automation and systematization.
  • Collaborate and manage the delivery of reliability requirements with software engineering and Infrastructure teams.
  • Challenge engineers by setting high standards, while fostering an environment for their development

What you have

  • Extensive experience in developing distributed systems, built on (server-side) Windows and Linux.
  • Extensive experience in developing NOSQL Platforms such as Aerospike, KX, Mongo.
  • Demonstrated experience in building automated systems for metric collection and driving improvements based on the data.
  • Demonstrated experience in building platform orchestration using tools such as Ansible, Salt stack, Puppet, Chef.
  • Demonstrated experience of putting together solutions using open and closed source tools for monitoring and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, Netcool, AppDynamics, ITRS, Splunk, etc.).
  • Ability to program in one or more of high level languages such as  Python, Java, .Net and shell scripting such as PowerShell, Bash.
  • Experience working SQL Queries and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience working in distributed messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ.
  • Extensive Knowledge of IP networking including TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, IP routing, etc.
  • Demonstrated Agile methodologies experience.
