Technical Sales Representative

Intro

Exciting Challenges

This position is responsible to provide technical sales support at the regional level to customers (contractors, architects, consultants, and building owners) to achieve pre-determined sales and profit objectives.  The candidate needs to have excellent communication, organizational and writing skills, and knowledge about the roofing industry.  The ideal candidate is located in the Central PA area.  This position reports to the Region Manager, East.
Specific Responsibilities:

  • Position Sika Sarnafil as a company that provides quality products and service
  • Sales of all Sarnafil Roofing and Waterproofing systems to meet agreed upon budget and gross margin objectives
  • Coordinate with local manufacturer’s representatives to accomplish goals and objectives
  • Create and identify new market opportunities
  • Solely responsible to oversee specification activity through Roofing Consultants, Architects, Engineers and all other influencing parties
  • Roofing contractor account management to include bid returns, receivables, territory coverage
  • Establish and manage key owner relationships and activities within territory
  • Provide weekly, monthly sales activity reports
  • Manage project pricing including general pricing directives
  • Box lunch seminar presentations
  • Sample, literature presentation
  • Specification writing
  • Follow company environmental and safety policies.

We Need Your Skills

  • Associates Degree, BA/BS Preferred
  • Minimum of five years of sales or related experience, preferably to the owner and architectural communities
  • Understanding of the single ply roofing industry
  • Computer proficiency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding presentation abilities
  • Valid Driver License in good standing
  • Ability to travel via car, train and airplane with overnight travel
  • Sit, walk, stand, occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch
  • Ability to travel by car regularly (drive car), occasionally travel by airplane
  • Be able to go on roof walks, work in heights
  • Adequate vision (depth perception, peripheral vision, close up vision)
  • Ability to climb ladders (occasionally) and stairs
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds (marketing material, samples)
