Technical Sales Representative – Mining UGC

A LITTLE ABOUT THE ROLE
Sika Australia is currently looking for a driven and results focused Technical Sales Representative to drive sales within WA to implement the UGC ground support portfolio in the relevant Mining space to grow our company’s market share.
The role will be responsible for building key customer relationships whilst managing existing clients. You will be engaging with owners, designers and contractors by building a strong rapport and converting new commercial sales for Sika Australia products and services with a particular focus on Mining technologies (Shotcrete, Resin Injection & Paste Backfill).

MORE SPECIFICALLY YOU WILL
Duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Regularly meet with prospective and existing clients to provide solutions, coordinate product training and capitalise on growth opportunities
  • Provide technical know-how, sales services and after sales service to customers
  • Identify new business opportunities with prospective customers
  • Conduct product demonstrations, proposals and presentations to support the achievement of major sales projects (these can be on both the surface or underground)
  • Service and support all customers to achieve budgeted turnover and contribution
  • Maintain and update product and applications and provide specifications and demonstrations

This role requires regular visits to Mining sites and working outside of normal business hours.

We Need Your Skills

A LITTLE ABOUT YOU

To be successful within this role, you will have:

  • Proven solid experience working within a similar role or industry
  • A thorough understanding of the Mining Industry and relevant product knowledge
  • Experience and knowledge of construction chemicals and sprayed concrete
  • Comfortable in liaising with all levels of decision makers and, working directly with B2B, B2C and Channel Distribution
  • Well-developed sales, business development, negotiation & closing skills
  • Proven ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent communication and customer service/relationship building skills
  • Basic computer skills (with experience using a CRM as an advantage)
  • An unrestricted driver’s licence

Good contacts with owners, consultants and contractors within the Mining Industry would be highly advantageous.
