This role will provide exemplary customer service by processing group disability income insurance claims in a timely and accurate manner.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Manages assigned caseload of short-term disability (STD) and/or Family & Medical Leave Act (FMLA) claims.
  • Determines whether to return, pend, deny or pay claims. Inputs data.
  • Evaluates claimant eligibility via information received from claimant, attending physician, and employer.
  • Decides payment period, follows up and monitors payment accuracy and timeliness.
  • Follows established claim policies and practices to resolve claims and issues.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or required.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2-4 years of customer service experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in insurance claims.

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Working knowledge of FMLA/Disability/Leave procedures.
  • Familiarity with STD regulatory requirements.
  • Strong customer satisfaction focus.

The average salary for a Colorado resident is expected to be between $38,000 and $42,000 with AVIP of 5% annually based off your performance and the companies performance. Further, employees are eligible for our standard benefits package which currently includes 22 PTO days, full medical, dental, vision, 401k plan and MetLife retirement plan.
